Marilyn Manson takes on dark character in 'Sons of Anarchy' season 7

Marilyn Manson takes on a dark character in "Sons of Anarchy" season 7. The rock star will portray a white supremacist prison leader on the hit FX series, Complex reports June 1.

"Sons of Anarchy" cast Manson as the new character in the biker gang drama entering its finale season of the series. Marilyn has a recurring role on the show that's sure to get things even more fired up in Charming.

Marilyn Manson says he's doing the role because his father is a big fan of "SOA." He wants to make him proud by involving himself in something that will likely be "remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of 'SOA' is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle." He adds that the show has been a big part of his life and that of his dad's.

InsideTV reports that Manson's character will be named Ron Tulley and uses Jax Teller to "expand his power base." The rock superstar should be an excellent fit for this type of character with his imposing looks and intimidating demeanor as a performer. Marilyn will appear on the premiere episode set this coming Fall.

Besides Marilyn Manson joining the "SOA" cast, Annabeth Gish has been cast as the new sheriff.

"Sons of Anarchy" season 7 premieres in September on FX at 10 p.m., ET/PT.
