Marijuana grow house discovered on Bethlehem Road in Rockmart.

Polk County Police made two arrests in a marijuana grow operation and two arrest for theft of utilities during an investigation into a call regarding threats occurring on Bethlehem Road in Rockmart.

On Sunday, June 5, 2011, Polk County police were dispatched to 672 Bethlehem Road in reference to a 911 call that was received by a third party caller. The caller advised 911 that threats were occurring from this address and officers were dispatched to the scene to investigate the allegations.
 
 
When officers arrived, they discovered a marijuana grow operation at this location. Several marijuana plants were discovered and it was quickly determined that marijuana was being manufactured for distribution in felony amounts. Plants and equipment were seized and the occupants were taken into custody.
 
 
Anthony Carrol Hale, age 46, of  672 Bethlehem Road in Rockmart and Terry Dwight Jackson, age 31, of 96 Wheeler Road in Rockmart was charged with felony possession of marijuana (greater than one ounce), manufacturing marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Before officers left the scene, it was discovered that the neighbor had jumper cables running from a Georgia Power Line enabling them to obtain power to the residence. Polk County 911 was notified to contact Georgia Power and have them meet with officers on the scene. Two people were arrested on misdemeanor charges related to the theft of power from Georgia Power Company.
 
 
Regina Kaye Ball, age 53, of 673 Bethlehem Road and Matthew Scott Carter, age 28, of Cedartown were arrested and charged with theft of services (Georgia Power).
 
 
 A property bond in the amount of $15,100.00 has been set for Jackson and Hale. A property bond in the amount of $5100.00 has been set for Ball and Carter.
 
 
Animal control was dispatched to the scene to pick up a dog that would otherwise be left with no one to care for it.
