A Marietta man is accused of sexual battery against a 9-year-old boy. According to the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred on Hammondton Road in Marietta.

George Henry Mander, 32, allegedly asked the boy to fondle himself. When the boy refused, Mander began touching him in the genital area for several minutes. According to the victim, Mander laughed while touching him, which angered the boy.

The victim drew a sketch of what happened to him without being asked or encouraged. A similar picture was also found at the boy's home. Shortly after, on March 29, Mander was arrested at his home off of Laurie Lane.

Mander was released on a $11,220 bond and awaits trial. He's charged with one felony count of sexual battery with a child under the age of 16.
