Marietta man, 34, found shot to death at apartment complex in Atlanta

A 34-year-old man was shot to death Wednesday afternoon at an apartment complex in southwest Atlanta.

So far, no suspect has been arrested in the shooting and police said they are still trying to determine the motive.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as Mr. Nicholas Hagood, of Marietta.

The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Windsor Square Townhomes at 3804 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive., according to Atlanta police.

Officers responded to the complex after getting a call of a person shot, police spokesman Officer John Chafee said.

When they arrived, they found the man dead from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest, Officer Chafee said.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the male was shot outside the location,” Officer Chafee said. But investigators said they don’t know the details regarding the circumstances of the shooting.

It was also unclear what Mr. Hagood was doing at the complex.
