Headliners for this Wednesday night’s second Annual Sustainable Business Council Industry Achievement Awards at Santa Monica Lexus are renowned actor, author and eco-activist Mariel Hemingway and her partner Bobby Williams. Keynote speakers Hemingway and Williams will emcee the awards presentations as well as introduce lifetime achievement recipients Cisco Home and Bentley Prince Street.
Considered a global thought leader in the area of holistic and balanced lifestyles for over 25 years, Hemingway is known for actively promoting intelligent views on the sustainable life. A book signing of The Willing Way (http://thewillingway.com) by Hemingway and Williams will take place before and after the awards ceremony.

Presented by Marcum LLP and the Sustainable Law Group, the goal of the SBC Industry Achievement Awards is to recognize contributions to the local economy by sustainable businesses and individuals. The awards provide a platform to salute Southern California companies whose missions parallel and support that of the SBC: to improve operating efficiencies, profit margins and staff productivity while lowering the ecological impact of products and services. Several award categories focus on outstanding individuals and projects as well.
Cisco Pinedo, Founder of Cisco Home will be the recipient of SBC's Lifetime Achievement in Sustainability Award 2013.
Ralph Grogan, President and CEO of Bentley Prince Street is SBC's Lifetime Business Achievement Award Recipient 2013.

The second Annual Sustainable Business Council Industry Achievement Awards take place on Wednesday, April 17th from 7:00 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. at Santa Monica Lexus.
The SBC is a non-profit organization which provides a professional networking and education forum for Southern California businesses and individuals working with sustainable products, services, and processes, hosts the annual awards event to recognize industry environmental leaders from the region.
