Another celebrity joins the best club in the world -- Grandparenthood. Welcome to the 'hood, Marie Osmond.
On December 19, 2013, at the age of 54, this ‘little bit country’ singer and entertainer took on one of the most cherished and coveted of all roles any leading lady would die for -- starring as a real-life first-time grandmother. Osmond announced on twitter.com, "Hey everyone …..I just became a GRANDMA!!!!!!!!" and moments later, "It's a boy!"
Life has been good for Marie Osmond who dropped a ton of weight, danced her way back into our hearts and is as beautiful and happy as she’s ever been. In 2011, Osmond remarried her first husband Stephen Lyle Craig (father of the new daddy) and back in June, in an appearance on The Talk, she announced, "I'm going to be a grandma. And I just can't wait."
Casting her in the role of glowing grandma was made possible by Osmond’s oldest son, Stephen Craig and his wife, Claire Olds. This is their first child.
