The Women's Information Network also know as The WIN, hosted a conference in downtown Los Angeles called The WIN BIG Event.
The focus of the 2-day conference was twofold: WIN in business and in Life.
Day one of the conference was WIN BIG in business. The business speakers spoke about different aspects of entrepreneurship from having a plan to sharing your message. Day two of the conference was WIN BIG in life
On Day one Author, Educator and Speaker Stedman Graham shared 9 Steps for Success. The foundation for the 9 steps he emphasized was identity.
“You can never let someone else define you,” Graham said to the audience of dozens of women. “Whoever you turn your power over to define you always defines you as less than them. Identity really matters and when you don't have one you become everything somebody else says you are,” he explained.
Another headlining speaker, Judge Mablean, presided over the TV show Divorce Court for 7 seasons, and appeared as a judge in a few of Tyler Perry's films.
Mablean Ephriam spoke to the audience about the importance of loving themselves first so that they are strong enough to help other people. She also spoke about being ready to reinvent yourself in your career. The major point she left the audience with from her speech is the importance of reputation:
“Your reputation proceeds you. Make sure you have a reputation for honesty and great character,” Judge Mablean said.
New York Times best selling author Marianne Williamson, also shared her insight with the women in attendance during the Day 2 WIN BIG in life.
The other speakers ranged from actors to humanitarians.
The WIN CEO Paula Fellingham says the excitement of women at this event is part of the rising tide of women around the world who are looking for more.
“There's an awakening in the women of the world that's very fast moving and far reaching,” said Fellingham. “Unlike anything that's ever happened in history and not just here in the United States but globally. Women are standing up, putting their shoulders back and lifting their chins and saying 'I can do this. I can dream big dreams and make them come true and it starts with a belief in themselves and then they have to learn how,'” she described.
