A Mariah Carey wardrobe malfunction occurred during the recent So So Def 20th Anniversary concert, or did it? The singer and "American Idol" judge had what some are calling a "nip slip" during the recent event commemorating the hip hop label and it's two decades of success.
According to Web Pro News on Feb. March 1, the nip slip was said to have occurred while Carey was presenting a cake to Jermaine Dupri, the business mind and producer behind much of So So Def's success. Now a photo has gone viral, showing Carey with her left breast slightly out of her cream-colored strapless dress.
While many believe this was a Mariah Carey wardrobe malfunction, and the phrase has become trending on many websites, others think it's a lot of buzz about nothing. Ironically, Carey's "American Idol" cast mate and fellow judge, hip hop star Nicki Minaj, has also suffered a wardrobe malfunction. Her nip slip occurred during a performance on morning talk show, "Good Morning America."
The So So Def 20th Anniversary concert event commemorated the label's 20 years of success. Among the performers and guests were Carey, Usher, Jay-Z, Monica and Ludacris. The show took place last weekend at the Fox Theater in Atlanta to celebrate the music label started back in 1993. Among the stars who found fame on the label were Kriss Kross, Da Brat and Jermaine Dupri, who released several albums as a rapper/producer.
