Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj will be coming together in the weeks ahead to critique contestants for the new season of American Idol. Mariah Carey sat down with Barbara Walters and on Monday a snippet of the interview was show on on Good Morning America. Mariah shared her love of finding new contestants and the fight she had with Nicki Minaj during American Idol auditions. The problems with Nicki Minaj were so real to the diva and she admitted she did hire more security.
"It felt like an unsafe work environment,” said Mariah Carey about the blowup and situation with Nicki Minaj. Dishing on her arrangements for the upcoming shows, it appears the two judges have made up and are moving on to the contestants. “It's a great show, for me it is ultimately about the contestants.”
According to Barbara Walters, the show is going to separate the two women on the panel during the live shows with each of the ladies sitting on the end seats while Keith Urban and Randy Jackson take the middle. Looking to find the best contestant might be tough, but there appears to be less friction than seen at the previous auditions.
Take I look at the video clip of Mariah Carey talking about her new job. Confirming her salary was around 18 million bucks, the entertainer doesn't appear worried at all to be hiring more security.
