Mariah Carey is an idol for many gay men all over the United States. However, her gay audience couldn't help her television debut on "American Idol" from tanking last evening. Not only was the premiere its lowest rating debut ever, but Mariah is receiving awful criticism from online critics and commenters.
Many people believe that "American Idol" was the singer's last chance at a career comeback. Things haven't been easy for Nick Cannon's wife over the past few years. Right before she released her flop album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel"in 2009, it was revealed that many of her so-called number one hits weren't actual hits; the chart positions were manipulated by special 99 cent deals and other chart manipulation methods.
Things turned worse last year when she released her "comeback" single "Triumphant." To date, the song has failed to make the Hot 100. It's too bad; Mariah Carey had a good run. However, the general public has obviously become tired of her antics.
