Mariah Carey: Fails to get major recognition for her 'acting'

Mariah Carey's career is in deep trouble

Mariah Carey's music career has taken a horrific dip this year with her Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel album bombing and her current tour not even being able to carry concert halls the size of a U-Haul storage space. No Indianapolis concert promoter will even go near this fading has-been! Mariah hoped that her role in the critically acclaimed Precious would turn things around. Unfortunately, it hasn't even turned.

While Mariah's P.R. department possibly helped her win irrelevant awards, Mrs. Carey (we won't call her Mrs. Cannon because we all know the marriage was a publicity stunt) failed to garner any "acting" nominations for the Golden Globes and Oscars. But the real hit for the overweight fallen star must have been the fact that just about everybody on the set of Precious won an NAACP award but her. Ouch! That's got to hurt.

There is always hope for Mariah. A remake of the movie Glitter might not make a lot of money, but it would at least get her some attention. It's certainly a better idea than her planned duet with Dora the Explorer.
