With good news, regarding them expecting a baby "in the spring...," Mariah Carey and hubby, Nick Cannon, also revealed news that this is not their first pregnancy Thursday. According to the couple, Carey miscarried two years ago... months after their, at that point, shocking marriage in the Bahamas and during promotion of Carey's hit album "E=MC2".
"It was really sad, so we really had to absorb this and take it in," Carey tells Access Hollywood in an interview slated to air in its entirety Thursday and Friday (October 28 and 29). "It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult."
Both Carey and Cannon chose not to disclose the miscarriage to anyone, instead carrying on with the promotion of "E=MC2" and other projects.
"When that happened… I wasn’t able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy," said Carey.
Cannon, admitting they found out that she was no longer expecting just before breaking the news to family and friends in 2008, credits his wife for being able to smile and laugh in front of the cameras, later "crying herself to sleep".
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's exclusive sit down with Billy Bush airs on Access Hollywood, Thursday and Friday, October 28 and October 29 (check local listings).
