Maria Kang is being called a bully one year after posting a controversial Facebook photo. The former pageant queen and fitness competitor posted a picture of herself in workout gear, showing off her incredible abs, with her three children -- all under the age of 3 -- asking fans "What's your excuse?" On Oct. 16, MSN Now reported that Kang is still receiving numerous negative comments on the photo.
While it has been almost a month since Kang's apology, hundreds of people are still commenting on the picture but a lot of them are in support of Kang and her healthy weight message.
Maria Kang has defended the photo just once and while the negative comments frustrate her, she posted the photo on her personal Facebook page. People that are complaining and calling her a bully are visiting her page and are keeping the controversy going for some strange reason. Kang has apologized -- but many feel that she didn't need to.
"I'm sorry you took an image and resonated with it in such a negative way. I won't go into details that I struggled with my genetics, had an eating disorder, work full time owning two business', have no nanny, am not naturally skinny and do not work as a personal trainer. I won't even mention how I didn't give into cravings for ice cream, french fries or chocolate while pregnant or use my growing belly as an excuse to be inactive," Kang wrote in a public apology on her Facebook page.
