Bell, who was replaced in 2012 by Jill Farren Phelps, went on record with Highlight Hollywood Jan. 3 saying that she likes Michael Muhney as an actor, but not as a person. Maria Arena Bell alleged that Muhney should have been fired “months ago for his behind the scenes actions.”

The former “Young and the Restless” executive producer went on to say that CBS Daytime executives and current executive producer Jill Farren Phelps compounded the problem with Muhney by not acting sooner. Bell criticized Phelps for attempting to turn fans against the character of Adam Newman rather than taking quick action to protect Hunter King from his unwanted sexual advances.

Michael Muhney was fired from “The Young and the Restless” in mid-December for allegedly groping his co-star Hunter King’s breasts on two occasions. Muhney’s sister defended her brother, saying that he did nothing wrong. Allegedly Hunter King made romantic advances toward Michael Muhney and was rejected.
