Summer is officially here, which means it’s time to fire up those grills! Throughout the month of May, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville has been celebrating the summer barbecue staple: the hamburger. But these are not your standard cheese, tomato, lettuce, and mayo burgers. To kick-off the summer, and National Hamburger Month, Margaritaville’s Directory of Culinary Bill Rohm created three specialty burgers influenced by the regions of America. The Baja Burger, topped with lime marinated carne asada steak for some hot cow-on-cow action, Oaxaca and Monterey jack cheese, smooth avocado, pico de gallo, and key lime crema highlights the tantalizing flavors of the California coast. From the Deep South, the Bayou Burger is seasoned with Cajun spices, caramelized onions and Andouille bacon slathered with their classic Cajun remoulade. Finally, the Chimichurri Burger bursts with flavor as big as Texas with all the trimmings and chimichurri on the side. Vegetarians and white-meat only eaters don’t despair! All beef patties can be substituted with turkey or veggie versions, also available with gluten-free buns. Burgers are served with the choice of French fries, sweet potato fries, or a mixed green salad.
If surf is more your style, the Grilled Shrimp Skewer satisfies summer cravings with a drizzle of smoky-sweet island barbecue sauce. A trip to Margaritaville wouldn’t be complete without a delicious margarita, and the Watermelon Margarita on the rocks is the perfect compliment to summer. Hello, Tequila! The island party atmosphere, refreshing cocktails, and wicked awesome (and messy!) burgers make Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville one of the best places to kick-off summer!
The specialty burgers are only available through the end of May, but the restaurant's selection of “Burgers in Paradise” including the firey Volcano Burger are available year round. After all, it’s 5 o’clock (and sweet summertime) somewhere!
