Mardis Gras 2014

Old Sacramento Mardis Gras 2014 will be held on March 1, this weekend. Every year, Mardis gras is celebrated around the world.

New Orleans is famous for its city wide celebration, Old Sacramento which sprang up from the river banks is sometimes likened to New Orleans for its similarity in its flavor of music, spirits and fun.

Old Sacramento has been known for its Jazz Musical festival, also a favorite of the New Orleans spirit. Their Mardis Gras celebration is newer but just as exciting, with Cajun, Blues and Jazz music.

The VIP passes to establishments in Old Sacramento which have restaurants and clubs available for the revelers of this years events will be available in advance for just $ 10 dollars or $15 on the day of the event.

The fun begins at 5 P.M. and is being sponsored by FM 96.9 Eagle radio station and the City of Sacramento. This is a popular "holiday" for most people who simply enjoy the idea of reveling in the face of tradition. Visit www.oldsacramento.org for more information.
