Mardi Gras in Second Life starts this Sunday.
If you can't make the trip to New Orleans for the Mardi Gras this weekend and you're a Second Life member, you can take part in three days of Mardi Gras in festivities in Second Life's New Toulouse sim. This picture is of a poster in New Toulouse advertising the event.
Festivities will begin with a parade and dancing in the square on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 11am PT/SLT. Like in the New Orleans Mardi Gras, "krewes" (teams) will work together to create and ride on floats in the parade. They are still accepting entries for floats; if you're interested in putting together a krewe to construct a float, contact Gabrielle Riel in Second Life no later than noon Saturday (March 5).
