Mardi Gras isn't over (at least in Orlando): Head to Universal Studios on Sat.

Mardi Gras may be over for the year in New Orleans, but it continues in Orlando on select nights at Universal Studios Florida. The next night is Saturday, March 9, with a headliner concert by Montgomery Gentry.

While the concerts are a big part of the celebration, they're definitely not all that the park has to offer for this annual event. After all, what would Mardi Gras be without a parade? A dozen authentic floats make their way around the park each night of the celebration, tossing beads to the eager crowd. Click the video toward the bottom of this article to see this year's parade.

Even if you don't stay for the concert, there's plenty of entertainment throughout the evening. Watch for towering stilt walkers and talented street performers, and enjoy the bands that come all the way from Louisiana to entertain at Universal Orlando Resort.

Last but not least, there's plenty of Cajun cuisine to complete your Mardi Gras festivities. It wouldn't be an authentic event without the opportunity to dine on favorites like jambalaya and creole gumbo. Save room for dessert because the beignets are hot, sweet, and plentiful. The food is served up in the French Quarter Courtyard.

If you can't make it out this Saturday, the event continues at Universal Studios Florida on March 15, 16, 22, 23, and 30, as well as April 6, 13, and 20. The festivities start in the evening and are included with your regular admission ticket. Here are the upcoming concerts:

  • MAR 9: MONTGOMERY GENTRY
  • MAR 15: SEAN KINGSTON
  • MAR 16: MATCHBOX TWENTY
  • MAR 22: AUSTIN MAHONE
  • MAR 23: PHILLIP PHILLIPS
  • MAR 30: PAT BENATAR & NEIL GIRALDO
  • APR 6 : KOOL & THE GANG
  • APR 13: PITBULL
  • APR 20: THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS
