Mardi Gras celebration to be hosted at Nashville’s Bluebird (Photos)

While Louisiana residents (and numerous tourists) celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Music City’s Bluebird Café has adopted its own Mardi Gras celebration. The venue will host its Annual Mardi Gras Concert featuring Les Kerr and the Bayou Band, which will take place on ‘Fat Tuesday’, February 12, 2013 at 9:00pm at the Bluebird Café, located at 4104 Hillsboro Pike.

Kerr is no stranger to Nashville; the Louisiana-born, Mississippi-raised singer/songwriter has been headlining at the Bluebird Café’s Mardi Gras celebration every year since 1992. He refers to his music as “Hillbilly Blues Caribbean Rock and Roll”, a style that comes from blending all of the musical influences from his gulf coast background.
