Mardi Gras Ball for Special People hosted at Moody Gardens

Moody Gardens is hosting their 28th Annual Mardi Gras Ball for Special People on Sunday, February 23 from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m. at the Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston.

The theme of this year’s ball is ‘Treasures of the Gulf, a Pirates Ball.’ They will be celebrating the 175th anniversary of Galveston by honoring its pirate history. The ball is free (although registration is required) and will offer face painting, costumed characters, live music, food, arts and crafts, and more. Costumes are encouraged, and there will be a costume content.

The ball is intended for people with special needs and their immediate family and/or caregivers only.
