Last night, members of the Peer1 and CSR client teams at March attended the Publicity Club of New England’s (Pub Club) Bell Ringer Awards Ceremony at the Revere Hotel. Hundreds of PR professionals from the greater Boston area gathered for the 46th annual event, which was hosted by WBZ-TV news anchor, David Wade.

Since 1969, the Bell Ringer Awards have been a symbol of outstanding achievement for New England public relations and communications professionals.

The Bell Ringer Awards, also known as “The Bells,” recognize excellence in communications and public relations work in every field and industry, across all forms of media. The awards honor the communications and PR professionals who leverage unique and creative strategic, tactics, and tools to achieve meaningful results for their clients, companies, organizations, and institutions.

The Peer1 team took home a Silver Bell in the “News Release” category for its campaign around the NSA scandal, which involved a piece of propriety research and a press release. This successful campaign garnered close to 40 pieces of unique coverage across the U.S. and Canada in business and tech press.

The CSR team took home a certificate of merit in the “Product/Service Publicity: High-Tech Campaign” category for its launch of CSR’s Bluetooth Smart jewelry proof of concept device at CES this year. The team developed a multi-pronged media relations strategy that mixed phone, video and in-person briefings, as well as a press hospitality event on-site at CES for press to see CSR’s newly introduced technologies in person. More than 80 pieces of unique coverage was the result of this tremendous campaign.

Congratulations to both teams and to all of the Bell Ringer winners! And also, a special thanks to the Pub Club for putting on such an amazing event. We look forward to the 47th annual event next year.
