March wine pairing dinner menus at Michael’s on Main in Soquel

Each Tuesday evening, owner/chef Michael Clark, along with recent addition Chef Kirk Lowe, match the dinner menu with Santa Cruz Mountain wineries and breweries, local produce and area seafood. A sumptuous buffet complements the food, contributing to the chosen theme of the evening. Enjoy live music and meet local chefs and vintners.

Michael and staff are continuing with their popular concept of inviting local guest chefs into the kitchen to make some of their favorite dishes. “It was so much fun that we've continued doing it throughout the winter series,” they said.

March 2013 menus

3-5 Foods of Southern Italy Some of our favorite foods come from the south of Italy. Naples is the home of pizza, parmigiana, Italian meatballs and gnocchi and we will enjoy these even more when paired with Italian wines. Scott Slaughter will play for us as we dine

3-12 Guest Chef Larry Griffin goes International If you have had Larry’s food before, you know it’s going to be amazing. Not sure how he’s going to work in that famous Mac n’ Cheese but we’re excited to see him step out of his comfort zone and cook for us. Wines are from our own local Storrs Winery and Mark Harvey will be singing for us. Better come early-it’s quite a line-up

3-19 Some Southern Hospitality Chef Michael has been perfecting his Beef Brisket ever since his tour of Texas BBQ country and we will enjoy some of that juicy goodness alongside cornbread, collard greens and wines from Thomas Fogarty. Ken Constable will play the guitar

3-26 Spring lamb guest Chef Sid Slatter returns to show us what he can do with lamb. If it’s anything like his pig, we are in for a treat! All a natural complement to the wines of his dad at Hunter Hill Winery with the music by Kevin McDowell
