When the weekend is approaching and you're looking for something to do, where can you find what is going on in Kansas City? Every Thursday you'll find the weekend listing right here, and today is no different. Here is what's going on this weekend.
First and foremost in many hearts out there, it is March Madness time. Whether you've taken the time to fill out your dream bracket results or not, you will find the city abuzz with activity for the tournament. The road to the NCAA Final Four comes to Sprint Center Friday and Sunday. You can find the schedule of who's playing here. If you're looking for tickets, you'll have to hit up the scalpers, but there is plenty going on in the Power & Light in celebration of the tournament.
At KC LIVE! you'll see the Miller Lite Basketball Fan Fest running all day with the games playing on a 250-sq foot big screen and the best part is it's completely FREE!
Now, for those that aren't into the Madness of March, there are also events for you. The Kansas City Home Show and Flower, Lawn, & Garden Show are running this weekend at Bartle Hall. For $8, $10 at the door, you can see the latest in ideas to spruce up your living space.
In it's final weekend, Kansas City Ballet is performing "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at Kauffman Center. Tickets start at $29 for the balcony. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Now this list wouldn't be complete without some family festivities as well. If you're willing to brave the cold, Zona Rosa will be having the Kansas City Easter Parade running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's completely free for the kids to visit with the Easter bunny and while there, you can pick up some chocolates from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
