March in like a lamb

March is coming in like a lamb with scattered to variable cloud cover, light winds, and seasonable temperatures.

As an upper level low lifts northeast into the Canadian Maritimes, high pressure will continue to build into the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas today on through Tuesday. Scattered to variable cloud cover can be expected with otherwise dry conditions throughout the northern Mid Atlantic. Temperatures will average near normal through the period. Low temperatures will range from the upper 20′s to lower 30′s through Tuesday. High temperatures will range from the mid 40′s to lower 50′s.

An area of low pressure will develop off the Mid Atlantic coast and exit out into the Atlantic on Wednesday into Thursday. While the exact track of this low pressure system is uncertain, there is clearly a threat for coastal flooding even if the track of the storm ends up further to the south. A mix of rain and snow will be possible with this storm. Temperatures will range from the upper 20′s to lower 30′s for lows and mid to upper 40′s for highs.
