It is time for the annual Get Jobs Job Fair event in the Twin Cities. This job fair features employers from different industries and provides an excellent opportunity for job seekers. In addition to networking and interviewing for jobs, job seekers can visit the various exhibitions set up by educational institutions and companies offering business opportunities.

There will be pre-job fair workshops held at various locations around the Twin Cities. Registration is required for these workshops. It is not mandatory to attend the workshops prior to the hiring event but the workshops are useful for learning effective networking and interviewing strategies.

Prepare well for the event beforehand. Update your resume to reflect your skills, experience, and education. Make copies so that you can hand them out when meeting prospective employers. Research the companies you are interested in and find ways to relate your previous work experience to the jobs they are seeking to fill.

For those who require transportation, there will be free shuttles from the West St. Paul, Burnsville, and Shakopee Workforce Centers. For a list of participating companies, specific job vacancies, and workshop registration, visit the Get Jobs Job Fair website.
