For Charleston gardeners and floral designers, there’s a reason they call it March! From the 1st to the 31st, March bursts forth with a bounty of flower shows and garden tours that will get you marching all over town. Chances are that if you visited our beautiful city or lived here for any length of time, you’ve been to one or two, especially the famous plantation and historic home and garden tours.
But take it from a local, the best tours are the ones no one’s ever heard of....until now. I’ll be featuring these hidden gem tours over the next few weeks so stay tuned or subscribe to get it delivered to your inbox.
March 1-4 Cypress Gardens Breath of Spring Flower Show and Garden Tour
Sponsored by the four garden clubs of the Berkeley County area, this flower show is quickly gaining popularity as THE premier event to kick off spring. Gardeners and floral designers put on a show that’s breath-taking! For four days, you can see gorgeous camellias and daffodils of every variety under the sun. Surrounding these beauties are 48 of the most creative floral designs you’ll see this time of year. These are done by some of the same powerhouse players who enter the largest flower show in our state.
