March 5: ‘Decimating the West’ tour strikes The Gasworks

On March 5, the “Decimating the West” tour 2014 takes out Albuquerque’s The Gasworks. On hand for the carnage will be Arkaik, Lord of War, The Kennedy Veil, Fields of Elysium, Impaled Offering, A Malicious Plague, and Oscillation. Doors for this all-ages event open at 6 p.m. Entry is $12 general and $10 in advance.

California’s Arkaik play progressive death metal. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Metamorphigation .

California’s Lord of War play space metal deathcore. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Celestial Pestilence.

California’s The Kennedy Veil play no-nonsense American death metal. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Trinity of Falsehood.

In the words of Albuquerque’s Fields of Elysium, “In our music there is no right or wrong, just an ongoing progressive force striving for perfection and sounds of extreme emotion through our instruments.” The band has released a debut album, Unraveling Arcane Dynamics.

Albuquerque’s Impaled Offering are an extreme death-metal band that combine other genres of metal into their core sound. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Eternity Awaits.

Formed in 2011, Gallup’s A Malicious Plague play melodic and technical death metal.

Santa Fe’s Oscillation play experimental metal. This band is made up of former members of Soul to Rest.
