In the late ‘80s, a young ambitious Jordan Belfort begins a low-level job at a Wall Street firm and gets laid off after the events of Black Monday. Soon he finds himself taking on a new job selling penny stocks in a Long Island boiler room and by the early ‘90s, still in his 20s, he founds his own firm Stratton Oakmont. Together with his trusted lieutenant Donnie Azoff and wolfpack of brokers, they engage in a life of corruption defrauding wealthy investors and excess success mixed with hedonism -- filled with ample drugs and sex. Named “The Wolf of Wall Street,” he lives the high life with all the power, money and women in the world for the taking until the SEC and FBI crash the party and topple his empire of excess.
