On March 21, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad hosts SuperGiant and Anesthesia. Doors for this 21+ show are scheduled to open at 8 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 9:30 p.m. Entry is just $5 but is subject to change at the door.

Albuquerque’s SuperGiant play pristine sludge/psychedelic doom metal. The band has released three aural orbs, a self-titled EP Antares, and Pistol Star.

According to the band, Anesthesia have woken up pretty much every day for the past 13+ years with one goal in mind: To become the next Metallica. These dudes love to play integrated technical passages but then can turn around on a dime and smash your teeth down your throat. The band’s second album, a self-titled one, has been released through Suburban Noize Records.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
