March 2014 WFTDA Inductions

The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) has inducted nine new member leagues into full membership status. A league seeking full member status into WFTDA must first complete an apprenticeship period to become familiar with the rules and regulations of the association and meet WFTDA guidelines. The following leagues have successfully completed their WFTDA apprenticeships: Appalachian Rollergirls (from Banner Elk, North Carolina), Devil Dog Derby Dames (from Okinawa, Japan), El Paso Roller Derby ( from El Paso, Texas), Mo-Kan Roller Girls (from Joplin, Missouri), North Texas Derby Revolution (from Justin, Texas), Renegade Derby Dames (from Sutton West, Ontario, Canada), Rock Coast Rollers ( from Rockland, Maine) ,Roller Girls of the Apocalypse ( from Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany), and Shore Points Roller Derby from Williamstown, New Jersey. The most recent inductions into the association bring current WFTDA membership to a total of 243 member leagues and 101 apprentice leagues. WFTDA member leagues represent skaters from states all across America as well as countries around the globe.
