For March 2013, Post-Consumerism: Paintings by Tiffany Gholar are coming to the Chicago Public Library’s Harold Washington Library. This will be on display at this library branch’s north wall, eighth floor from March 15 – April 26, 2013.
Tiffany Gholar’s work consists of recycled materials, which I assume will include glass bottles and jars, aluminum cans, newspapers, cardboard, copper and plastic bags. Viewers should not expect to see Styrofoam, gold, platinum, iron or eggplants. Viewers should expect to see 3D art that appears as collages.
Tiffany Gholar will give her artist talk in the library’s Chicago Authors Room. This will be on March 30 at 2 p.m. At that time, very likely March winds will be blowing art aficionados to the Harold Washington Library Center.
