On March 17, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad welcomes Spirit Caravan and Pilgrim. Doors for this 21+ show are scheduled to open at 8 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 9:30 p.m. Entry is only $10 but is subject to change at the door.

Maryaland’s Spirit Caravan play a supreme mix of doom and stoner metal. The band showcases the talents of guitarist/vocalist Scott “Wino” Weinrich, whose previous bands include The Obsessed and St. Vitus. Spirit Caravan’s last CD release was 2001’s Elusive Truth, with the EP Dreamwheel released in 2009.

Rhode Island’s Pilgrim play doom metal. Check out their releases at bandcamp.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
