March 16: Truckfighters and guests crash Albuquerque’s Launchpad

On March 16, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad presents Truckfighters, Crobot, and Black Maria. Doors for this 21+ show are scheduled to open at 7 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 8 p.m. Entry is only $8 but is subject to change at the door.

Formed in 2001, Sweden’s Truckfighters play a mix of stoner and psychedelic rock. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Universe.

Pennsylvania’s Crobot play what they call “dirty, groove rock.” The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled The Legend of the Spaceborne Killer.

Hailing from Albuquerque, Black Maria play stoner rock.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
