On March 16, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad celebrates St. Punktrick’s Day with The Unemploid, Rebilt, Deadmary, Domestic Violence, Beefcake in Chains, APD, DC Bombers, Psycho 78, Intoxicated, and The Car Bombs. Doors for this 21+ show are scheduled to open at 5 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 6 p.m. Entry is only $5 but is subject to change at the door.

Officially together since April 2000, Albuquerque’s Rebilt are a native punk-rock band who live, practice, work, play, and breathe their music. Band influences include Bad Religion, Social Distortion, and Slayer.
Formed in 2002, Deadmary play punk rock. The band is working on a CD.
Formed in 2011, Albuquerque’s Domestic Violence features former members of The Jackson Four: Punk Legends. They call their style of music “Super Punk Rock.” According to the band’s vocalist Skum Violence, “It rhymes if you yell it!”
Albuquerque’s Beefcake in Chains describe themselves as follows: “The most vile collection of miscreants & degenerates to ever soil a stage.” They are influenced by booze, porn, and stupidity.
Formed in the fall of 2011, Albuquerque’s A.P.D. play a searing combination of punk rock and hardcore. According to the band, they stole their moniker “from the biggest gang in town and mutated onto the Albuquerque hardcore punk scene to make some noise and stir sh*t up!”
Albuquerque’s DC Bombers play punk rock. The band’s bio says it all: “Pretty much just sittin’ around drinking with friends, getting’ drunk, making music, and laughing our a@@es off.”
Albuquerque’s InTOXICated play an eclectic combination of punk rock, hardcore, and surf music. The band has been through a few lineup changes, settling down to a four-piece unit that works well together. Whatever you do, don’t offer to buy these dudes a light beer!
Hailing from Texas, The Car Bombs play punk rock mixed with thrash metal.
Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
