On March 15, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad hosts the Signalonethree media Annual Semicolon Tattoo Project Agora Benefit Concert. The Semicolon Tattoo Project is an ongoing awareness campaign that seeks to engage communities in suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

This event will feature the following bands: Throw the Temple, Port Alice, Indemnified, The Lymbs, Get Action, The Angel Babies, and Nexus Elementa. Doors for this 21+ show are scheduled to open at 7 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. Entry is only $10 ($8 if you sport a tattoo) but is subject to change at the door.

Originally known as Silent Ducks, Albuquerque’s Throw the Temple play alternative rock. Their influences include Tool, Alice in Chains, and Queens of the Stone Age.

Hailing from New Mexico but now located in California, Port Alice play alternative rock. Check out the band’s EP, titled The Life of a Lighter, at bandcamp.

Albuquerque’s Indemnified play experimental and progressive rock. The band counts as influences Maximum the Hormone and Tool. Indemnified’s new full-length studio CD is titled Clockwork Soldier.

Hailing from Albuquerque, The Lymbs describe their sounds as “the combination of genres [that] has allowed artists to create new ideas worthy of an intellectual society.” Their sound pays homage to the blues players and rockers of the late 1960s but also mixes the ideas present in modern digital movements.

Albuquerque’s Get Action play what they like to call “Punkadelic Gnarcore.”

Formed in late 2011, Texas’ The Angel Babies play a mix of punk rock and indie rock.

Albuquerque’s Nexus Elementa play electronic dance mixed with goth, metal, and world music.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
