March 14: Launchpad welcomes Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! and guests

On March 14, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad welcomes Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, Handguns, State Champs, City Lights, and My Heart the Hero. Doors for this 13+ show are scheduled to open at 6 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 6:30 p.m. Entry is only $12 but is subject to change at the door.

France’s Chunk! No Captain Chunk! play pop punk and hardcore. The band’s debut full-length studio CD is titled Something for Nothing, with the band hard at work on a new CD.

Handguns play pop punk. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Angst.

New York’s State Champs play pop punk. The band’s latest EP is titled Overslept.

Ohio’s City Lights play pop punk and hardcore. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled In It To Win It.

Albuquerque’s My Heart the Hero play a combination of punk rock and metalcore. They like to call their sound “Duke City pop punk.” Their debut EP is titled MMXII.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
