Ken and I were excited already about AnachroCon coming up February 22-24 in Atlanta, but we were even more thrilled to find out that our friend and favorite indie Celtic musician Marc Gunn is going to be there!
Marc is not only a pleasure to listen to with his rich baritone voice and unique style of playing the autoharp. He also sings mostly original songs about subjects like Firefly or hobbits (or his cats, for whom he recorded "Irish Drinking Songs for Cats" and "Whiskers in the Jar.") And he is a very funny man and a born entertainer. Watching him on stage is a joyous experience. I have seen Marc exhausted and jet-lagged, but once he hits the stage he is all energy, jumping and dancing from one side to the other, flailing the autoharp, and giggling in a highly infectuous way. Every Marc Gunn performance is just a lot of fun.
But Marc is serious about helping to promote independent Celtic music and musicians, and hosts one of the most popular Celtic Music Podcasts on the Internet.
You can learn more about Marc at his website, and if you're in Atlanta and attending AnachroCon, be sure to catch Marc's performance!
