Marblehead Little Theatre presents 'Les Miserables' on July 5 and 6

Over 25 years ago, a sweeping, visually-stunning epic musical made its stage debut and grasped the hearts of audiences around the world! Not only did ‘Les Miserables’ go on to take home eight Tony awards, but became a world-wide sensation and stands as the second longest Broadway musical after ‘Cats.’

Recently adapted into a wildly-successful film starring film and Broadway favorite Hugh Jackman, Academy award-winning Anne Hathaway, and Russell Crowe as Javert, the Marblehead Little Theatre proudly presents Boublil and Schonberg’s ‘Les Miserables’ on Saturday, July 5 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Their final performance will take place on Sunday, July 6 at 2 p.m. Click here for tickets and for more information!

Adapted from playwright Victor Hugo’s epic novel of the same name, this powerful, heart rendering musical score includes ‘At the End of the Day,’ ‘I Dreamed a Dream,’ ‘Master of the House,’ ‘On My Own,’ and ‘Do You Hear the People Sing.’ ‘Les Miserables’ tells a hopeful and heartbreaking story of faith, courage, and unconditional love.

Directed by Steve Black, musically directed by Lianne Goodwin, and choreographed by Lisa Finn, cast members include Corey Jackson as Jean Valjean, David Fougere as Javert, Meghan Ashley as Fantine, Amy Strong as Eponine, Steve Faria as Thenardier, Sarah Sendlbeck Ernst as Madam Thenardier, Bob Russell as The Bishop of Digne, Penelope Walker, Paige Martino as Little Cosette and Young Eponine, Annie Dillon and Sara Rhuda as Cosette, and Aidan Merriam as Gavroche.
