For Friday, March 8th 2013 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:
Nikita (The CW, 8 p.m.) – “Reunion” – In order to gain control of the black box, Amanda (Melinda Clarke) makes plans to kidnap Ari’s (guest star Peter Outerbridge) son Stefan (guest star Dylan Minnette) to use him as leverage. Still in Division’s protective custody, Ari begs Nikita (Maggie Q) for help. However, Stefan’s bodyguard Krieg (guest star Andrew Divoff) manages to capture both Nikita and Amanda and the two must work together to escape. Owen (Devon Sawa) is furious with Michael (Shane West) after Michael assigns Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) to be Nikita’s back-up instead of him.
Cult (The CW, 9 p.m.) – “Being Billy” – Jeff (Matt Davis) finds a surprise visitor in Nate’s apartment who tells him about a dangerous on-campus game that Nate had been hosting known as “Being Billy,” which involves role-playing scenes from past “Cult” episodes. Jeff and Skye (Jessica Lucas) follow clues that might explain the next scene the players will try to recreate. Meanwhile, E.J. (guest star Stacy Farber) searches Nate’s laptop and finds that he’s been active online and sent a cryptic email to a hidden recipient list. On the television show, Kelly (Alona Tal) confronts Billy (Robert Knepper).
Grimm (NBC, 9 p.m.) – “Face Off” – After Nick (David Giuntoli) learns about Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) and Captain Renard (Sasha Roiz), he must deal with the consequences. Things get even more complicated when Nick is called to investigate his own crime. Meanwhile, the search for the key intensifies as Captain Renard finds Nick’s trailer and makes a surprising alliance. With Rosalee’s (Bree Turner) help, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) informs Nick that they might be able to stop what’s going on with Renard and Juliette before it goes too far. Elsewhere, Wu (Reggie Lee) responds to a bizarre shooting at Nick and Juliette’s house.
Spartacus: War of the Damned (STARZ, 9 p.m.) – "Spoils of War" – As Crassus (Simon Merrells) leads an onslaught against the rebel-occupied city, Gannicus (Dustin Clare) finds himself trapped behind enemy lines. Tiberius (Christian Antidormi) is tasked by Crassus to hold a celebration in honor of a man he despises.
Blue Bloods (CBS, 10 p.m.) – "Protest Too Much" – When an off-duty cop tries to stop a bank robbery, he is disarmed by the “Bonnie and Clyde” robbers who take his gun and wound an innocent bystander. Meanwhile, Frank (Tom Selleck) considers getting romantically involved with a woman from the ACLU who happens to be Erin’s (Bridget Moynihan) acquaintance.
