From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes the Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated hit arcade-game-hopping adventure film Wreck-It Ralph directed by Emmy-winner Rich Moore. It features an all-star voice cast that includes John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Alan Tudyk, Mindy Kaling, Joe Lo Truglio, Ed O’Neill, Dennis Haysbert, Edie McClurg and Rachael Harris. Wreck-It Ralph is the 52nd animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series.
For decades, Wreck-It Ralph has played the villain in the popular video game Fix-It Felix. Always overshadowed by the game’s hero Fix-It Felix, one day he decides he has had enough and wants to become the “good guy” who saves the day. Taking matters into his own massive hands, he sets off on a game-hopping journey to prove he is a true hero with a big heart.
Traveling across the arcade through every generation of video games, Wreck-It Ralph finds himself in Hero’s Duty where he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun and finds the medal that will help him win the respect he desires so much. However as he escapes the game, he crash-lands in the candy-coated cart racing game Sugar Rush where he meets the feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz, a glitchy character who is also looking for acceptance. While she steals his medal so she can enter and win the race, he accidentally unleashes a Cy-Bug, a deadly enemy that clung to him from Hero’s Duty. With the entire arcade now in danger, Wreck-It Ralph must become the medal-deserving hero he dreams of being to save it from total annihilation and also make a little girl’s dream come true.
The DVD and Blu-ray includes the "Paperman" theatrical short. Exclusively on Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D are Disney Intermission, deleted and alternate scenes, video game commercials and “Bit by Bit: Creating the Worlds of Wreck-It Ralph” featurette where fans of the film will get a look at five new worlds created for Wreck-It Ralph. Exclusively on Blu-ray 3D is the feature film in 3D and "Paperman" theatrical short in 3D.
