From director Brendan Maher comes the adventure film Return to Nim’s Island, the exciting sequel to the 2008 Australian movie Nim’s Island that starred Abigail Breslin, Jodie Foster and Gerard Butler. In Return to Nim’s Island, Daytime Emmy Award winner Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late "crocodile hunter" Steve Irwin, leads the cast that includes SAG Award nominee Matthew Lillard, Toby Wallace and John Waters.
Five years have passed since the events in Nim’s Island and now Nim is a young 14-year-old teenager. When ruthless developers and greedy wildlife poachers come and threaten her beloved island, Nim will do everything in her power to protect her home and the animals. While her marine biologist father Jack heads to the mainland to convince the authorities to preserve the island, she must combine forces with a handsome young teen runaway named Edmund -- the boy who spotted Nim in the first movie. Together with the help of her father’s chubby nerd assistant Felix, they hatch a plan to foil the villains’ plans and rescue the island and its inhabitants.
Return to Nim's Island DVD and Blu-ray Combo Pack will be available for purchase exclusively at Walmart stores and Walmart.com starting March 19, 2013. The DVD will be available at all major retailers starting on May 21, 2013.
