For Monday, March 18th 2013 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:
The Carrie Diaries (The CW, 8 p.m.) – “The Long and Winding Road Not Taken” – On her seventeenth birthday, Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) is torn between an opportunity to mingle with New York’s literati and spending time with her friends and Sebastian (Austin Butler). Mouse (Ellen Wong) goes to extensive lengths to impress a Harvard alum who has her eyes set on West (guest star RJ Brown), with hilarious results. Walt (Brendan Dooling) starts taking responsibility for his previous actions. Elsewhere, Dorrit’s (Stefania Owen) search for the perfect gift for Carrie lands her in a sticky situation with romantic possibilities.
The Biggest Loser (NBC, 8 p.m.) – “Live Finale” – In this must-see, exciting live finale, the contestants from this season return for a special reunion and a chance to weigh in one last time – and show America how much weight they’ve all lost since beginning their weight-loss journeys. Kid participants Biingo, Lindsay and Sunny will also return to show off their inspiring transformations. America’s vote will be revealed for who will be the third finalist, eligible for the grand prize, and all the players who have been eliminated will compete for the $100,000 “at home” prize. Then it’s the moment viewers have been waiting for, when one of the three finalists will be named this season’s “Biggest Loser” and win the coveted grand prize of $250,000!
The Following (FOX, 9 p.m.) – “Love Hurts” – Ryan (Kevin Bacon) and Parker (Annie Parisse) attempt to circumvent Nick (Mike Colter) in order to continue their search, while Joe (James Purefoy) demands that Ryan reveal Claire’s (Natalie Zea) whereabouts. Also, past followers return.
Castle (ABC, 10 p.m.) – “Scared to Death” – When a young woman appears to have literally been scared to death three days after watching a "haunted" DVD, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) delve into one of their creepiest cases yet. To make matters worse, Castle becomes convinced that he too is marked for death when he accidentally watches the cursed video. And master of horror Wes Craven makes a special quest appearance.
Hawaii Five-0 (CBS, 10 p.m.) – “Na Ki’i” – When a murder victim falls onto Dog the Bounty Hunter’s SUV, Five-0 sends Catherine (Michelle Borth) in undercover at the local roller derby to find the culprit.
