For Thursday, March 14th 2013 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:
The Vampire Diaries (The CW, 8 p.m.) – “Bring It On” – Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) new outlook has everyone concerned, leading Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to agree that going back to the normal routine of high school would be the best thing for her. Caroline (Candice Accola) is pleasantly surprised when Elena decides to rejoin the cheerleading squad, but her pleasure turns to shock when Elena’s behavior proves dangerous. Not giving up on their search for the cure, Damon and Rebekah (Claire Holt) work together until his unwanted advice catches her off-guard. Klaus (Joseph Morgan) tries to use Hayley (guest star Phoebe Tonkin) to get the information he’s after and makes an intriguing discovery in the process. Meanwhile, a bored Elena throws a wild party and gets into an ugly fight.
Community (NBC, 8 p.m.) – “Advanced Documentary Filmmaking” – As the campus strives to get to the bottom of Chang’s (Ken Jeong) memory loss, Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) enlists the group to help secure a grant for further medical research and Abed (Danny Pudi) films the activities for a documentary. Jeff (Joel McHale), however, suspects there is more to Chang’s memory loss than meets the eye.
Parks and Recreation (NBC, 8:30 p.m.) – “Bailout” – Leslie (Amy Poehler) tries to help a local video store stay in business after the owner (guest star Jason Schwartzman) is hit by the bad economy. Chris (Rob Lowe) tries to give Tom (Aziz Ansari) some fatherly advice in dealing with a difficult employee (guest star Jenny Slate), while Ann (Rashida Jones) blackmails April (Aubrey Plaza) into being her friend.
Elementary (CBS, 10 p.m.) – “Déjà Vu All Over Again” – Joan (Lucy Liu) takes her first solo case: the disappearance of a woman who left her husband a tearful break-up video that mentioned a murder on a subway platform. Meanwhile, Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) is intrigued by the subway murder and decides to investigate.
Archer (FX, 10 p.m.) – "The Honeymooners" – Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) and Lana (Aisha Tyler) pose as newlyweds to stop a sale of enriched uranium.
