When Willow Ufgood of the dwarf-like race called Nelwyns discovers an abandoned human baby girl, he is sent off on a magical adventure to return the child to the humans called the Daikini. Learning that she is destined to end the reign of the evil black sorceress Queen Bavmorda, he vows to protect the child from any harm. Teaming up with the rogue swordsman Madmartigan, sorceress-turned-possum Fin Raziel and brownies Franjean and Rool, they set off on an epic journey to overcome the dark forces. With help from friends along the way, the heroes engage in the ultimate battle of good versus evil to save the kingdom!
