The New York State Maple Producers Association invites families from across the state and neighboring areas to Maple Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, March 16th and 17th and March 23rd and 24th. Learn about the production of maple syrup and other related products with demonstrations on how to make syrup and samples of maple-products – all produced in New York State. Admission to the weekend celebrations, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, is free.
Highlights for Maple Weekends include a number of pancake breakfasts at sites across the state, including the Arcade Center Farm Pancake House, the Attica Fire Department and Hidden Valley Animal Adventure (hosted by Boxler’s Pure Maple Syrup) – find a complete list of breakfasts here.
Over 100 maple producers across the state will host open houses during the weekends, where the public can see how maple syrup and other related products are made. Participating producers will boil sap into syrup and demonstrate how to make other maple products, which will be available for sampling and purchase. Some participating sugarhouses will also provide other activities for the family. A complete list of participating producers can be found here.
