Founded in 2010 by Master Baker and Pastry Chef Ziggy Cichowski and Executive Chef Patricia-Ann Donohue, Maple Street Patisserie just celebrated its fourth anniversary in April. Cichowski, who had apprenticed throughout Europe in countries like as Austria, Italy, Germany, France, and Poland, where he hails from, brought that European touch to New Orleans, this county's most European city, and it's been a hit ever since.
And now, just a month later, Maple Street Patisserie's newest concept is about to hit the scene, the Maple Street Patisserie et Bistro.
Located at 8300 Earhart Boulevard in New Orleans, the bistro will offer a full-service breakfast & lunch.
The official grand opening will be on Wednesday, May 28, and will offer complimentary sweets, special promotions, and giveaways in celebration. The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 11 A.M. including hors d’oeuvres and champagne. The first ten customers to arrive that morning will receive ten-percent off their purchases, bistro diners will have the option to receive a dessert on the house with their purchase of an entrée as well, and patrons can register to win prizes, including a dozen assorted pastries, a free lunch or a basket of fresh, and artisan breads.
Maple Street Patisserie specializes in amazing croissants, pastries, muffins, bread loafs and bagels, and also provides infused oils, jams, and vinegars, and more, to offer patrons the opportunity to infuse old-world Europe into the meals and dishes made at home.
