Tonight on PBS they aired a special called "Many Rivers to Cross." It quickly got viewers talking on Twitter and this show made a huge impact. On Oct. 22, NY Times posted about what this special would be all about and why it was a must see.
This focused on how African-American's were packed up like cargo and shipped off to be sold into slavery. This is actually going to be a six part documentary and will air a total of six hours so tonight is not the only night you will want to make sure you catch "Many Rivers to Cross." It will air once a week on Tuesday nights through Nov. 26 and you will not want to miss this documentary.
Henry Louis Gates Jr. and PBS did an amazing job with this documentary. Everyone knows about slavery, but nobody really knows the truth and now you can see a lot of it in this show.
