Mandy Moore exits the ABC pilot “Pulling.” The actress and singer felt that it “wasn’t right” for her. They wanted to take Mandy’s character in a different direction. UPI.com broke the news on March 8. “Pulling” is a comedy series based off the British hit show.
“Pulling” is a show about roommates in their 30s. They live together when one of them breaks off their wedding. A 28-year-old Mandy would play the role of Louise, a desperate husband hunter. Moore knew it was time for her to exit the show.
Producers have nothing, but good things to say about Moore. They said that she was willing to work with them. In fact, they seemed happy to work with Moore.
Moore said that the character didn’t fit her personality. It was obvious that she wasn’t comfortable with the role. They wanted to make the plot about women in their 30s who are each dysfunctional and unique.
ABC did reach out to Mandy Moore with a different project. It’s unknown when “Pulling” will premiere on the network. It’s also unclear of who else will start on the comedy.
