The National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, Joining Forces, MetLife Foundation and museums across the country are collaborating on the second annual Blue Star Museums program. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, museums around the nation will offer free admission to all active duty, National Guard and Reserve military personnel and families. The Mint Museums and the Museum of the New South are participating in Charlotte.
Congress created National Military Month, spanning the entire month of May, to “provide a period encompassing both the history and recognition of our armed services with an in-depth look at the diversity of its individuals and achievements.” Military personnel or veterans showing their identification at Boston Market get 10% off their dine-in restaurant order.
