Many Mansions

This is the answer I received from my guides:

"Yes, there is only One greater, collective consciousness, but within the One are countless other levels and realms, and this is what is meant by the teaching "In my father's house are many mansions." The mansions are levels of understanding. They are like the brain's neurotransmitters. They are a limitless network of connecting fibers that contain and transmit the collective visions, experiences, creations and projections of every soul. These mansions contain the collected accumulation of all experience and all creation. They're limitless and impossible to count… universes upon universes upon universes. But they cannot be understood in human terms, because they exist beyond the measures of time and space. Yet as limitless as they are, they are part of only ONE consciousness, the energetic realm in which we are all connected and functioning in harmony with all the parts of the whole.

When you tap into that One consciousness, all of the mansions are available to you. This is where the information is stored, this is the Akashic record. We all contribute to this library of energy, which is the reason why we chose to come to earth, to gather information for The Library of Time. The experiences we have on earth are the way in which we volunteer to contribute to the library. We are mining information to educate and nurture the One, and we do this with great love, because this is our strongest commitment. This is why we continually choose incarnation, and why we chose to come to earth in the first place, like little worker bees supporting a hive.

All are experiences - joyful or traumatic -- are like rooms inside the many mansions. They are like corners in the rooms in the mansions, or dust in the corners of the rooms in the mansions, or specks in the dust in the corners of the rooms in the mansions, or cells that contain billions of tiny universes inside the specks in the dust in the corners of the rooms of the mansions… and so on into infinity.

So there are billions of mansions, but there is only One universal consciousness. And we choose our experiences in order to contribute to the information contained in that consciousness. To fill the Library of Time. Why do we want to fill the library? Because it is the source of everything. It is the depository of all our creations, and from those accumulated creations, wisdom can be received. It is HOME. When our physical bodies die, or when we go into deep meditation or dream states, we don't just go home to float aimlessly in bliss. We go to receive information… the library IS our bliss. We return home with great pride in our work, in our contributions, our creations. And we cannot stop creating; we are perpetual creation machines, and this is why it's so important to teach people how to use the conduit to find their way home, because the library is there just waiting to be accessed.

On earth we got only snippets of information from the library. We get dreams, visions, artistic images, literature, art, science, etc; it's just a fraction of what's available if we consciously practice visiting the library via meditation and spiritual study. Most of what we receive during earthly life expresses only what we can understand from our perspective of life on earth, because that's our limited vantage point and we don't see past that. We're limited to the view from the room we're currently standing in, which is the room of life on earth. But with study and practice, we can go into other rooms and receive different messages, brand new messages that aren't limited to the vantage point of a body on earth. From a strictly earth (ego) vantage point we only receive messages that guide us in our physical survival… messages about good guys vs. bad guys, judgment, anger, fear, etc. Ego stuff. But there is so much more, so many more mansions."
